Karen Fuller joined the KCTV5 News team on October 5, 2003 as co-anchor for KCTV5 News at 6 & 10pm.

Prior to joining KCTV5 News, Fuller anchored the 5, 6 & 10pm anchor at KATV, Little Rock, Arkansas’s # 1 rated news station.

Fuller, a native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television in 1989. Fuller launched her broadcasting career in Mason City, Iowa, at KIMT-TV as weekend anchor. After 7 months, she was promoted to weekday morning and noon anchor at KIMT.

Fuller has been nominated for three EMMY awards and has won a Society of Professional Journalists award for Enterprise Reporting. Fuller has also been selected Little Rock’s “Favorite Female Newscaster” three consecutive years by the readers of the "Arkansas Times" newspaper.

“I’m looking forward to Karen’s presence in our newscast and our newsroom” said Regent Ducas, KCTV5 News Director. “She brings us everything we’re looking for in a main anchor, including working at # 1 rated television station and being recognized by viewers as the top anchor in her city. As a mother of two young children, Karen was looking for a larger city to call home. I’m certain with her mid-western roots Kansas Citian’s will welcome Karen to town.”
