A Wichita woman died Wednesday after collapsing during a morning screening of "The Passion of the Christ."

Peggy Scott, 57, was attending a 9:30 a.m. showing of the movie with some co-workers from ClearChannel Radio when she collapsed about 20 minutes before the movie was to end.

An ambulance was called while two physicians who happened to be attending the film tried to revive Scott, said Ken Crockett, general manager of the Warren Theaters.

Scott was transported to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Joseph Campus. It's unclear whether she died at the hospital or at the theater.

Scott was the general sales manager for KRZZ and KKRD radio stations. The showing was sponsored by KRBB, a sister radio station, and Scott was one of several employees who decided to attend.
